FROM OUR PROJECT COLLECTIONAsk the report to show observations and limitations
An assessment may consider covering, seams, flashing, roof edges and drainage, depending on the roof type and access. Interior evidence can also help explain a water intrusion report. Ask for locations that you can recognize in photographs or on a simple plan. If equipment, roof levels or another constraint prevents an area from being assessed, that limitation should be stated. A visual visit cannot expose every concealed layer. Where an opening, test or further survey is recommended, ask what question it would answer and whether it is part of the agreed work.
