FROM OUR PROJECT COLLECTIONAsk what the inspection can establish now
Depending on the roof type and access, an assessment may consider the covering, seams, flashing, drainage and accessible interior evidence. Photographs or a marked plan can make observations easier to follow. A visual visit cannot expose all concealed layers, and inaccessible areas should be identified. If an opening, controlled test or further survey is recommended, ask which question it would answer, what limitations remain and whether it is included in the initial price. That explanation helps distinguish observed evidence from assumptions that could otherwise become part of a repair proposal before they are established.
