FROM OUR PROJECT COLLECTIONChoose materials after examining earlier repairs
Old patches and coatings may change the surface that a new repair must connect to. Identify those materials and assess their condition before selecting another treatment. A compatible product still requires suitable preparation and a sound surrounding assembly. Adding sealant wherever a joint is visible is not a substitute for that assessment.
Depending on the problem, the proposal may involve replacing flashing, repairing a membrane connection or removing damaged components before rebuilding the detail. A compatible coating on an eligible roof is another possible scope, with its own preparation requirements. Ask why the chosen approach addresses the identified water path.
