FROM OUR PROJECT COLLECTIONIdentify compatible work at the actual surface
The existing membrane and any prior coating affect repair selection. Ask what material is present, what preparation is needed and how the new connection will be made. Different low slope systems can need different methods, so a generic sealant description does not explain the intended repair.
A surface defect can coexist with wet insulation or deck deterioration. Ask whether the available observations define that boundary or whether further testing would be useful. Any additional investigation and newly discovered work should have a documented authorization process rather than becoming an unexplained extension of the repair.
